WHY CHOOSE LONGHORN BEEF
The Longhorn cow with characteristic horns, distinctive white stripe down the back and dark blue roan or lighter red brindle coat is quite a head-turner! But... looks aside it was the Longhorn, as the oldest British beef breed, which made England famous for its fine Roast Beef.
It's a well known fact that the best tasting beef must have marbling running through the meat. This is what gives the succulence, tenderness and all that flavour.. all the hallmarks of a truly magnificent piece of beef.
The Longhorn breed is a slow growing breed taking their time to reach perfection. The high butterfat content of the Longhorn milk was also used in the first Stilton and Red Leicester cheeses giving the young stock the best start in life.
